After my recuperation I know I will enjoy spending time with the kids and hopefully we can keep them entertained so they don't become video couch potatoes.
Day camp, craft activities and day trips involving lots of walking are a few ideas to consider. Hopefully, there will be days when it's not "too" hot so they can play outside with their friends (it's not so unusual . . . we did it when we were kids!)
There are birthday parties and sleep-over's during the summer and it's always a challenge trying to be creative so the kids will have fun and keep it affordable.
Craft parties are a great way to keep the kids entertained and you don't have to worry about the weather. Crafting has become extremely popular for many reasons -- affordability is the top of the list; it builds confidence and self esteem and it brings everyone together when you think it just might be impossible.
Contact me at kidswonderart@aol.com. I do group party crafts and will be happy to host a party for your group if you are in my local area. I can also work with you to create a project and send you the detailed instructions and the necessary tools needed if you are outside of my local area.
Have a fun-filled summer and I look forward to hearing from you.
