Hurricane Irene Held Us Captive

For two days we've been held captive by Irene. She was relentless leaving many areas flooded and powerless.

No internet service, and without power of course there was no t.v. and all the electronic devices slept, unable to power up. A terrific opportunity for the kids to play outside (what a concept).

Finally today the weather is what we all would consider perfect. A good time to sit back and relax for a bit after all the havoc the past few days.

We are fortunate to live in a very family friendly community where we all try our best to help each other whenever possible. This weekend was a great example of that sense of community and we were happy to be able to help our neighbors.

Yeah for Back to School! Can't wait to get back to a routine.
